Time flying by....

Well, I have to say I'm not much of a blogger these days....seems one day turns into the next and so on and 2 weeks goes by without even realizing it. Oh well, I'll just do what I can.

So last week Porter, Wyatt and I headed out to Prineville for the Crook County Fair. We had such a GREAT time! It's such a neat fair and it's free. Porter got to pet some pigs, goats, horses, rabbits, chickens, roosters, and sheep. He also got to decorate his own big cookie and ride in some litle cars. The weather was a little cold but it was a great day. Porter had a good time with Nana and Grandpa but it couldn't be because they spoil him or anything....LOL.

on Friday Lisa headed over to visit. Porter just loves her (all kids love her though, that's no surprise) He had a great time with her, she just played and played with him, he was sorry to see her go.

A good one Lisa got of me and Wyatt....

We had a great time at our bbq, saw a lot of old co-workers we hadn't seen in a long time especially Shari and Marilyn.....it was great to see you!!!!!!

On Monday, my dad arrived in Sunriver for the week so we headed out there for dinner. My Aunt Kathy, Bill and daughter Taylor are also staying out there so Porter got to go hot tubbing for the 1st time. He really loved it but the mosquitoes ate everyone alive. They are so bad this year.

Then last night my sister and Zoey got here. We all went to the High Desert Museum today and had a good time. Porter really liked the turtle swimming in the tank.

Wyatt is now 8 weeks old - which is crazy, doesn't seem like that many weeks have gone by. He has started smiling which is so darn cute! I forgot all the little things that just make my heart melt like that 1st smile.....so much fun.

Cute Wyatt feet

That's it for now. Off to enjoy some time with my sister and Zoey....and of course we'll have to squeeze in some shopping....LOL.
Everyone have a great weekend!

Thunder and Lightning

We had an amazing thunder and lightning storm on Sunday night and I caught some of it on video however I've been trying to post it since yesterday and blogger doesn't seem to want to upload it. It was so cool, the whole sky would light up, I've never seen anything like it. I'll keep trying......
Weekend recap:
Sam did some fishing with his dad at the mouth of the Deschutes but they weren't able to keep anything. All in all, they had a great time. It was a beautiful day so what more could you ask for....besides some fish to bring home but that doesn't REALLY matter does it? ha ha
Wyatt had his 6 week checkup on Friday and he is up to 11lbs 9.5 oz and is 23 in. long. So he's gained almost 4 lbs and grown 2.5 inches!! Thank you to Sheri for going with us, both of them had to get shots so it was no fun for them....or for me....LOL.

Here is a picture of Wyatt at 6 weeks and the one below is Porter at 6 weeks - I was flipping thru Porter's photo album and it made me realize how much I think they look alike. Their face shape is similar, Porter is just a bigger version...

Another picture of chunky cheeks.....aka Wyatt....

Porter weighed 24lbs 6oz so he's put on about 2lbs since April so that's good. It's incredible he gains weight at all since he's so darn active and never sits still. He likes his food so it obviously does him good. Zoey gave him all her little people toys so he has been enjoying them...Porter and I went to his Diaper Daredevil class on Sat. morning. It was ok, it says it's for walking-3 yrs old but some of the stuff was way too advanced for him. We're going to try again this Sat to see if he likes it better.

We are going to a b-day party tomorrow for the mom's group. They will have pizza, cupcakes and lots of activities for the kids so it should be lots of fun. And on Thursday we are headed to the Crook County Fair with Lee and Sheri. We were going to go to the Deschutes County Fair on Friday after the boys dr. appt but it was 97 so it was too darn hot. Only supposed to be in the high 70's / low 80's beginning on Thursday and for the following few days. That will be a nice break from this 90+ we've been having.

On Saturday we are heading to a bbq for my old company UNICOM. The former owners are hosting so it will be very nice to see all my old co-workers. And Lisa is going to come over and stay so she can go too.

That's our happenin' schedule for the week (not to include fun trips to the grocery store...LOL) Everyone have a great week!
