I have been slacking on the blog lately so I'll have quite a few pictures to post....LOL. We had a wonderful Christmas! Lee and Sheri came over Christmas Eve day so they could make it over, we had a storm move in and dump a bunch of snow that night. We all woke up to a beautiful, white Christmas morning.

After having breakfast, we dug into our tremendous pile of gifts. Porter of course got spoiled by Nana and Grandpa, he got a pony that makes sounds and moves it's head and tail, he was quite intrigued as you can see

After cleaning up from that endeavor, we look out the window to see 9 deer just cruising down the road. Well they decided to jump our fence and head into our backyard to eat the apples (after digging them up from under the snow)

We were all just watching them including Drake just whimpering at the door....well, Sam comes around the corner and wonders why we haven't let Drake out so he opens the door before we had a chance to tell him but too late.....Drake was off on the chase. A few of the younger deer hit the fence while trying to get away and a few Drake chased around the shop and ran them off the other direction. We had to give Sam a bad time about it.
Friday morning we all got up and had breakfast and Lee and Sheri headed back to Prineville and we headed over the Roseburg to my mom's. The roads were pretty bad, packed snow and pretty icy. Once we hit the junction at Hwy 138, I asked Sam if he could pull over as I had a feeling that Porter had filled his pants. Well, he just pulled right up to the snow bank on the side of the road, I changed Porter and got him buckled back in so we were ready to take off again.....wrong! Sam tried to pull out but he pulled too close to the snow bank and the more he tried to get out, the more we got stuck. The front end just started sinking further and further in. Sam got out and tried to dig the snow out from under the tires, the snow was almost up to his waist! A nice couple in a Subaru stopped and helped by digging and then another couple in a suburban stopped and was able to pull us out with a rope. It was quite interesting, a picture to remind Sam that he will never live down...LOL. After about 25 minutes, we were headed down the road again....

When we FINALLY made it to Roseburg, my mom had an excellend prime rib dinner waiting for us. My sister and Zoey, my brother, my gram and papa, my mom and Lee were all there to enjoy it with us. After dinner we opened more gifts and of course, Porter was spoiled again! My mom got him a really cool rug that looks like a racetrack, I'm sure he will really enjoy it when he's bigger. (My sister and zoey got him a little scooter/walker toy that he likes, I will post a video of it later)

On Saturday, we headed down to Riddle to spend some time with Melissa, Ella, Rick and Bernice. They too spoiled Porter so we came back with a trunk full! Porter got a talking Elmo which he thinks is very funny.
On Saturday night, my dad came over and we had leftover prime rib. We exchanged Christmas gifts with him and gave him a new camera for his b-day present, his b-day is Christmas Eve.
Then on Sunday morning, we got everything loaded up and headed home. It got so warm and rained so much the river was so high and so brown compared to when we drove over on Friday. One lane of Hwy 138 was closed past Glide due to a mudslide that took some trees down with it.
(I didn't take many pictures and then I left my camera in Roseburg. Thank you to my mom for sending it to me)
