3 Months old!

Well, time has just been flying by, I can't believe Porter is 3 months old already! He is growing so much, especially the last few days. I swear he has grown an inch because he is in 6 month clothes, the others have gotten too short for him.
Felicia (a girl from my book club) wasn't due until July 7th but had her baby girl Paige last weekend, she only weighed 5lbs 4oz and was 17in. long. Her and her husband Jordan came by on Sunday so we took a picture of Porter next to her on the couch.....he looks huge!! Paige is so dainty, she looks like a little doll.....
Sheri (nana) stopped by on Monday for coffee before her dentist appt so we had to take some pictures of course....
It's been pretty quiet here, not much going on. I'm really enjoying being home with Porter. I'm afraid I've been slacking on my housework/chores because all I want to do is play! Sam is pretty disappointed that he has to go to work while I stay home but tough! LOL

It's supposed to be 96 on Saturday so I think summer has finally hit. We're going to get up early and go cut another load of wood before it gets too hot.

Of course I have pictures to post from the last week so here they are.....

Take care and everyone have a great weekend!

Busy week!

Feels like it's been awhile since I posted so I'm trying to think back as to what we've been doing.

Last Friday, Sam's friend Megan was visiting from Minnesota and was at Kah-Nee-Ta for the day so we drove up and spent a few hours with her. It was a nice visit and we got to see her little one Savanah, she's 2 and is so cute! And congrats to Megan and her husband Ryan who are expecting their 2nd little one in a few months.

After we were done visiting, we ended up driving over to Roseburg. It wasn't a very quiet ride as Porter was not happy being in the car for so long that day. And once we arrived in Roseburg I figured out one of the reasons - he had yet another blow out and it was all over him and the carseat. We got him all cleaned up and then he was much happier.

Here is a picture of Porter and my mom that I just love....
On Saturday, we visited with my brother who finally got to meet Porter and my aunt JoAnn who was visiting from South Carolina. Sam helped my mom's husband Lee put the siding on his new shop.

On Sunday, we went to visit with Melissa, Ella, Neal, Rick and Bernice. They hadn't met Porter yet so we were able to spend a couple of hours with them and have some pizza. After that, we went back to my mom's for a bar-b-q. My Aunt Barbara came down from Eugene so it was nice to have all the family there with my Papa and Gram.

Here is a picture of all of them:
Here is one of just the girls: My mom, aunt JoAnn and aunt Barbara

And one of my aunt JoAnn and her husband Bill...

It was soooo nice to visit with everyone, I just wish we all lived closer together...but these visits are great. Zoey just absolutely LOVES her uncle Patrick - she pretty much would not let him our of her sight. When he would go anywhere (even the bathroom), she would walk around yelling "Patrick, Patrick" until she found him. He laid down to go to sleep one night and she made a little bed for herself too.... Here is a picture of my brother, my mom my sister and me (Zoey wanted nothing to do with pictures) and Porter only wanted to suck on my arm...LOL

Sam headed home on Sunday but I stayed to visit a little longer. My sister and Zoey drove me home on Tuesday. We went to the park that is across the street that night and brought along my neighbors grandson (Marcus who is 5). He and Zoey just chased each other around and around and on the way home, they held hands the whole time. Marcus would just talk to Zoey and she would just look at him while he was talking, it was the cutest darn thing! When we got back to the house, they had a brownie and a glass of milk and played some more and when he left, Marcus gave Zoey a hug and a kiss on the cheek, it was so sweet. Penny and Zoey stayed the night and headed home on Wednesday after we got our hair cut.

On Wednesday, Porter's new toy came UPS. I ordered a Rainforest Jumperoo for him - it is a bouncer thing that has lights and all kinds of animals on it and the seat spins around. Anyway, I put him in it and he just checked everything out.....

I then went to finish up the dishes in the kitchen and heard him fussing a little bit and by the time I got back to check on him, this is what I found.....

Guess it wasn't that entertaining after all since he was sound asleep......LOL.

Today I had lunch with my old boss Melinda and co-worker Lindy which was really nice! It was good to see them, I will really miss working with them.

One last picture to post of Porter - this hat and sweater were Sam's when he was a baby. Thank you Sheri for passing it down. Porter looked so cute in it, though he only liked it for about a minute since he doesn't like hats too much.

I think that is about all for now. Have a great weekend!

More pictures

Hello all! Our weekend was pretty relaxed. Well, for Porter and I but not Sam. He went and got a cord of wood on Saturday by himself. I know, pretty rotten of me to not go with him....but I did help unload it and stack it......it was SO much fun. We had went and got a load on Thursday night from a job site so needless to say my honey was pretty tired come Sunday. On Saturday, Porter and I went to the park across the street with Nana (Sheri) They had a craft fair set up and had some neat stuff. Sheri and I both bought bracelets that were the same, just different colors and she got a pretty flower arrangement for her front porch.

On Sunday, we went to my brothers house to finish up on some stuff before the renters move in this weekend. Then I worked in our yard a little bit while Sam worked on the boat.

Porter slept thru the night again last night, last week it was like 3 out of 5 nights. The first 3 he slept thru then the next 2 or 3 he was up every 2-3 hours. I think he's been going thru a growth spurt cuz he is eating a lot! He always eats a lot but seems even more so. Sam weighed him with the fish scale the other day and he was 15lbs 4oz. We aren't sure how accurate it is, but he is wearing some clothes that are 6 months. I hope he'll be tall like Sam and not short like me. LOL

That's about it for now, not much going on this week. We are going to Roseburg this weekend, my brother is flying in on Friday so he will get to meet Porter and my Aunt JoAnn will be here visiting from South Carolina so I'm very excited to see them!!!!!

I'll leave off with a few pictures of my handsome little man....of course I had to post some, it's been like 5 days since the last ones....LOL.

1st time sleeping thru the night!

Last night was one for the history books.......Porter slept thru the night!! He went down at 9:15pm and didn't wake up until 5:45am. I woke up and looked at the clock and it was 4:23am, of course that put me into complete panic mode. I'm thinking I either slept thru his crying or I would find him not breathing.....neither was the case. I get into his room to find him sucking his thumb. So I sit there for a little bit thinking he was going to wake up any second.....nope. So I made some coffee and waited until he woke up. I'm crossing my fingers that it isn't just a one time thing and if not, he usually is up only once during the night so I consider myself lucky anyway.

I think he has definitely found his thumb. Let's hope if he does continue, he quits before he is in junior high....and not take after his mother.....LOL.

Another picture from his nap.....

Some more from today...... he starts out smiling

Then he's like "What mom, what do you want me to do now?"

And now he's done, moved on to pouty face......he's so cute when he's pouty though.....

That's about it for now. Take care and have fun!
