Great visit in Roseburg

Porter and I had a great visit in Roseburg but like a dum-dum, I forgot my camera so I didn't get any pictures. We got over there on Thursday and hung out. On Friday, I took Porter and Zoey to the Jungle Jump and met my friend Jennifer, her son Carter and her mom Flo. It's a really cool place where the kids can jump and slide and run out some of their energy. :-). Flo took some pictures while we were there, here are a few...

As for Sam, he didn't catch anything fishing. I'm beginning to think that they spend more time drinking and BS'ing than they do fishing.....LOL. Better luck next time.

Not much going on this week....just trying to get my car cleaned and detailed so I can get ready to sell it. We bought my mom's Tahoe and they are going to bring it over when they come over for Porter's b-day next month....I'm so excited!!! I've had my car for like 12 years so I think it's time to get a new one....plus, we are going to need a little more room.

And last but not least, I want to say CONGRATULATIONS to my sister who is in the process of buying her 1st house!!! It's such a cute house too, she was approved for the loan and they put in an offer and the bank counteroffered and they all agreed. So this time next month she will hopefully be moving in. Congrats Auntie P, we love you!!!

Porter the tongue clicker

A few days ago Porter found his tongue and loves to click it, he thinks it's the funniest thing. And now he does it ALL THE TIME! He makes the funniest darn face when he's doing it so I have to share the video of it!!

Patrick and I were sitting here this morning and Porter was playing over by the window next to a toy my sister got him for Christmas (it's a little scooter to sit on but converts to a walker thing) Well, we look over and Porter had grabbed hold of the walker and just took off...... so I of course grabbed by camera as fast as I could and captured it on video.....He had never walked with it before, it would always go too fast and he couldn't keep up or move his feet fast enough..... anyway, it was so fun to watch him go. Enjoy!!!!

Visiting with Uncle Patrick!

It doesn't seem like a week has gone by since my last post but time flies when you're having fun. Last Wed. I was able to get together with some awesome girls from the moms group and play Bunco, I didn't win anything but had so much fun. Then when I got home, Patrick was here. They finished working in Seattle and he had 10 days off before having to go to Portland so he came to visit me. It was so nice to be able to just hang out with him, I don't get to do it very often. Porter warmed right up to him, he even cried at times when his Uncle Patrick left the room. While he was here, we went to a used children's boutique and found the most awesome stroller! I've been doing some research on double strollers and the options are you either get a really wide one or a really long one....well, the one I got is neither. It looks like a regular jogger with the one seat....

and then there is an extra seat attachment for the 2nd that you just click right on

but when you have a newborn, you take the extra seat and put it on top of the 1st one, recline the main seat all the way flat and you can fit the little pumpkin car seat carrier thing right in. Then when the baby gets bigger, you can incline it a little to have them sit a little more upright. It's just the coolest stroller, I'm so very excited!! (thank you, thank you Uncle Patrick!!)

On Saturday, the boys hung out while I was able to escape and get a manicure, pedicure and facial....boy, was that nice! Sam had got me a gift certificate last Mother's Day so I figured I better use it. Sam made an awesome Valentines dinner so it was a great end to a really great day.

On Sunday, we tried out a new restaurant we have in town called Boston's. They are known for their gourmet pizza but have burgers, pasta, etc. It was actually very good, we'll definitely go back.

Happy Birthday Mom!!!

Just wanted to say Happy Birthday to my Mom!!!! Hope you have a great day, we can't wait to celebrate with you in 2 weeks!

How 'bout them Steelers?

What a great Super Bowl!! We were on the edge of our seats at the end and the Steelers pulled through. The Cardinals played a good game but not good enough......poor Rhonda thought they were actually going to win.....LOL. I'll be waiting for you to pay up Mrs. Deaton. :-)

On Friday, Sam took the day off so we headed over to Prineville to spend the day with Nana and Grandpa. While the boys took off to look at some property, Sheri and I went to the movies and saw "Marley and Me" Oh my gosh, what a great movie!!!! Especially if you are a dog owner, you can totally relate but you better bring some tissue. I absolutely bawled and I think everyone else in the theater did too. It was a great book and a great movie. We then had dinner and then came home.

On Saturday, Porter and I did some shopping and I bought a new pair of walking shoes while Sam worked on cleaning up his shop. It's looking so good, I'm very impressed with all his hard work. He has to make room so he can start work on my new coffee table. He bought me some really cool table legs for Christmas and is going to make me a new table.

And then on Sunday we watched the big game. Sam smoked some ribs and they were wonderful! We ate too much of course but that is what the Super Bowl is all about....food and football.

Not much going on this week. It was 59 yesterday, supposed to be the same today and even warmer tomorrow. I have a dr. appt on Thursday and that's about it.

Porter's new thing is to make this "oooh" noise while he's breathing hard and it looks so funny...

He's getting pretty good about giving me a smile when I take his picture..... a big "cheese" for mommy......

Lately when Sam gets home from work, he just gets so excited and starts flapping his arms and making noises....and then Sam goes to cut more wood and this is Porter at the door waiting for him.....
