I can't believe Porter is 1 already!!

Wow, I can't believe a whole year has flown by and my baby boy is 1 year old! We had a great time celebrating his birthday but 1st things 1st.....

My cousin Jared, his wife Brooke and their 8 month old son Layton came to visit on Thursday and Friday last week (Brooke was in town for business) Layton is such a smily happy baby, he's so cute! Thanks for coming to visit with us, we had a great time!!! Here is Layton just smiling away.....

Layton in the sandbox..... On Saturday, we got ready for the party. My mom, Lee, Penny and Zoey got here around 10:30am (with my new car!) We got set up for the party and Saturday night we had everyone here for dinner. Sam smoked his famous ribs and we enjoyed having everyone including Lee and Sheri here with us to celebrate Porter's 1st birthday. I can't believe it's been a whole year. I bought a cute "birthday boy" party hat for Porter to wear but we wanted nothing to do with it...

We want to say thank you to everyone who came to the party to help celebrate and for all the wonderful gifts that were sent for Porter as well.

Seems time is flying by, it will be no time before I'm posting pictures of the new baby, whom Sam likes to refer to as "Poot" Grandpa Lee's vote is for Tater....yeah, I'll be coming up with something myself it seems.....LOL.

Porter the little walkin' man!!!

Yes, we have a little walkin' man on our hands......Porter has slowly started to let go of holding on and just takes off walking. On Saturday, we were over at Lee and Sheri's duplex getting ready to paint and he would pull himself up on something and then just take a few steps. And just over the last 2 days, he does it more and more. And of course I got a video of it but unfortunately, this morning Porter was playing with my camera and dropped it in Drake's water bowl. It's now drying out in front of the fire, I have my fingers crossed that it makes it. And Porter has figured out how to climb the stairs too, I think I'm going to have my hands full!

Other than painting, we didn't do much else. Lee and Sheri stayed the last few days so that was nice to have them over. While we were watching a movie last night, Porter took turns snuggling with Nana and Grandpa and was just happy as a clam.

It's snowing this morning and has been for the last few hours. But it's supposed to be 54 by Friday, I'm hoping it's halfway decent for Porter's b-day on Saturday.

Happy 1st Birthday Dane!!

Just wanted to wish our adorable little nephew Dane Jakob and very Happy 1st Birthday!!! We wish we could be there to celebrate with you but we hope you have a great day.

I've been a slacker....

So it's been awhile since I posted, guess not much has really been going on. We've had snow off and on for the last couple of days. I think I'm ready for some warmer weather.

I sold my car last weekend. I posted it to Craigslist and within 2 hours someone called. I was actually a little sad to see it go, I didn't realize how attached to it I was. I guess that's what happens when you keep a vehicle for 12 years!!! But I'm very excited to get my Tahoe, I'm having to drive Sam's truck in the meantime and man is that thing hard to park when you're used to zipping in and out of parking spaces. Good thing it's only for 2 more weeks.

We are still searching for a name for baby #2 and so far, we got nothin!!! Hopefully we'll come up with something cuz it's beginning to stress me out.

Not much going on this weekend either, I think Sam is going to the Sportsman's show at the fairgrounds on Sunday with his dad.

Just a few pictures this week.....I don't know if you can see the little "marks" on Porter's head in this one. I swear that kid smacks his head about 5 times a day.....mostly on the darn coffee table.
